Sandy Wells is the author of "To Spin True Purple" a photography, poetry, philosophy book published by Jalmar/Personhood Press in 2004. She is an author, photographer, and fine art painter who has exhibited at the historical Tremont House Hotel ArtWalk gallery events for 13 years, H Gallery, Monica's Galerie, and Innuendo Photography Gallery. Her images have been used in books, CD's, websites, and in numerous marketing products. Her images were used in "Consider the Butterfly" a philosophy book written by Carol Lynn Pearson in 2003, and together they received a publishers IPPY Award. She was asked to photograph war camp survivors in Croatia in 1994 during a temporary U.N. Ceasefire and her images were used in a documetary on the region prior to the U.S. invasion of Serbia. Her paintings, sketches, and photographs are collected by many notable Houston residents. A 7h generation Texan, she resides in Houston with her family. |
